My name is Kelsey Boyd. I am a Public Health major in Health Policy and Management at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I was drawn into ABC2 by a high school friend. We discussed all the opportunities and experiences with the ABC2 organization. I initially began my involvement in the organization at the Party at the Polls. I helped many individuals find their way when faced with difficulties in voting. Furthermore, my participation in ABC2 led to my leadership position as the Director of Energy and Climate Justice. In this position, I bring my learnings and experiences from the Energy Democracy Leadership Institute (EDLI) to the ABC2 organization. In the EDLI program, individuals are gaining the necessary skills and support needed to thrive as community leaders, as well as generating the people power needed to create a just and equal life in regards to energy and climate justice.
